It was a race not done on a whim but planned for months. It was a telling result of her dedication to her training and self-care. She finished her first half marathon in San Diego that day. The San Diego harbor will always remind her of running by the resting sailboats, each one waiting to go on a new journey. The sunset that night reminded her to seize that blissful moment of victory by finishing the 13.1 miles. The soothing purples and strong oranges reminded her that she had made her mark that day.
